Erica was added to the Musiqtone staff in February of 2006 as an interviewer/features columnist. She provides the occasional feature story as well as being on hand at some of the hottest concerts and adds interviews as well. She added New Artists to her duties in May, helping founder and chief head Alan Ho with the quest to unearth the hidden gems in the indie and the underground.
Erica is now the new chief head of indie/underground music, taking over an integral department of Musiqtone. She will be responsible for helping Alan find You Gotta Knows, as well as finding new and emerging talent in the indie for the one-half of the Rearview, and be responsible for the Myspace Music Spotlight. She is also given the power to create and develop new features showcasing the hidden gems and best-kept secrets in the indie and underground.
Erica's assignments and undertakings include interviewing big names lik Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, October Fall, and doing a live video interview with the Plain White T's in New York. She also has reviewed the Plain White T's major-label debut, has been on-site at many concerts, most notably an appearance on MTV's TRL that is forever immortalized on YouTube. |
Erica Hahn was born on March 30, 1989 in Bridgeport, CT. She has lived her entire life in the suburbs of Connecticut. She is currently a senior at New Canaan High School and will be going to Northeastern University in Boston, MA majoring in business management following graduation in 2007.
Erica has played the flute since 5th grade and has performed with her high school band at Carnegie Hall(NYC), the London New Year's Day Parade and Festival, and has plans to perform this year in Paris, France.
Music of all types has been a focus of her life, since her first concert at the age of five. Her music interests are very diverse; she went from seeing Hawthorne Heights to the Jonas Brothers in one day!
Erica's current favorite musicians are Hedley, Tyler Hilton, Akon, All-American Rejects, Aly & AJ, Jesse McCartney, New Found Glory, Chris Brown, Bowling For Soup, McFly, Cartel and Panic! At The Disco. Following in her father's foot steps, she goes to as many concerts as she can, while maintaining honor roll grades.
In Erica's spare time she loves to seek out emerging artists, read, and hang out with her friends. |
