Jeni-Lynn joined Musiqtone in February of 2006, jumping aboard as the New Artists Scout and Feature Writer. She assisted chief head Alan Ho with You Gotta Know and also find gems on her own. Jeni also provides interviews, reviews, and is one of the go-to people for the hottest concerts.
Jeni-Lynn also serves as the chief head of communications and the director of the Musiqtone Buzz, Musiqtone's weekly newsletter, having been promoted to the position after nearly a month on the job. She oversees an integral part of Musiqtone, checking up on several departments, including Public Relations and also be the main catalyst behind the Musiqtone Buzz.
In late 2006, a restructuring at Musiqtone landed Green the no. 2 position on the music site, replacing co-founder Peter Burke as the executive vice-head, ending his nearly four-year tenure as the no. 2. She now helps Ho oversee the entire operation of Musiqtone, especially in the now growing and key mainstream music department, helping him with garnering contacts in the mainstream as well as help in the assigning of mainstream opportunities that come about for the site.
Some of Jeni's contributions have included being at the Van Wilder 2 media roundtable with Kal Penn, Jonny from Jonny Lives! and Art from Everclear. She also helped bring Teddy Geiger to the site, helping ushered in a new era for Musiqtone and their mainstream content as it continues to transition from secondhand to direct content. At press time, she is still attempting to bring Hanson to Musiqtone.
Jeni was born July 1, 1982. She realized at a very early age that music was her calling. Besides learning to harness her voice at a young age, she learned to play many instruments. She began college as a vocal performance major but realized quickly she needed a change. She moved to Orlando, Florida where she had her first taste of working in the industry. Recently, she graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. When not working on assignments for Musiqtone she writes music, does graphic/web design, and goes to concerts whenever she gets the chance. She loves all kinds of music, but finds particular comfort in the sounds of an acoustic guitar. She currently spends her time away from Musiqtone working on a small accessories line that she created.
