The winner's circle will go live Friday night at 9 PM ET on Musiqchat. The host will be founder and chief head Alan Ho and the co-host will be Musiqtone employee Todd Mika. Be sure to watch out for appearances by some of the nominees!
Here are some ground rules:
1. We reserve the right to boot anyone out. Anyone who chooses to be unruly to the fans and/or the hosts will be kicked out.
2. No bad-mouthing- Once again that policy is in effect and we hope that after what went down in Voter's Choice that cooler heads prevail.
3. BIG IMPORTANT NOTE: We ask that no chat traffic occurs when we officially announce winners, that way things can be less chaotic and no one misses out on who won which award and what.
And it also has come to attention that no more than 100 users can be in any one room. So with that, more rooms have been created, but the announcements will be made in main Musiqwards room. So space in there is limited! We will send our co-hosts to the other rooms to make thr announcements!
Sign in here below. Give yourself a screenname. It will take you to the lobby; go to the Musiqwards room to enter ceremony.
Welcome to the 2006 Musiqwards, which returns for a second year in a row and now it comes bigger and better than ever. Not only do we get the music fan involved, we now get our colleagues in the music biz to get in on the selection process! The Musiqwards honors the best in music for 2006 (with a few technicalities here and there)!
Here is the official nominees list for the 2nd annual Musiqwards, where all winners will be announced January 5-6, 2007! Full list will be displayed on Wednesday December 20!
News: Musiqwards winners will be announced FRIDAY January 19 at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT/6 PM PT. The event will be live on Musiqchat! Go to http://www.musiqtone.com/chat/, sign in your usernname (whatever you want it to be) and come in and interact with the host and master of ceremonies (and the founder and chief head of Musiqtone) Alan Ho, in one of his few "public" appearances. Be sure to go join in the Musiqwards room after coming in the lobby.
BE SURE TO FOLLOW GROUND RULES! We reserve the right to kick anyone out who chooses to not follow the rules.

Official ballots news: The formula for the ballots have been changed to adjust to lower turnout. Once again ballots count for 50% of the vote. In close races, that can swing a runner-up in the fan voting to the winning side. 3 or 4 such races are in that category where 6% or less separate the two.
Formula goes as such:
1st place- each vote counts for 1,000
2nd place- each vote counts for 500
3rd place- each vote counts for 100
lower- 1 vote
