For fans of: Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, Meghan Trainor, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez
Where: Florida, Texas, Ohio and Toronto, Canada
Powerhouse girl power groups pretty much come in threes when they hit every decade or so. You have Fifth Harmony and Little Mix and for a while it really only have been those two lighting up radio, TV appearances and the music charts. Now, we may finally have a third group to join the inevitable power troika.
Very much like the aforementioned two, the girls of L2M were formed from very different parts, this time from North America as Tati hails from Toronto while the rest were discovered and joined together from various locales in the United States in the Midwest, Southeast and the Southwest. They are the collective brainchild of dynamic Danish entrepreneur Mads Munk and a Simon Cowell protégé, Tim Byrne, who took Leona Lewis to fame with her smash debut “Bleeding Heart” in 2008 and showcased to the world Fifth Harmony and the biggest one of his career, One Direction. Simply put, Byrne knows his pop and knows to how make it happen. Chalk one to Munk on finding the right guy to launch his vision.
This vision is a very young fivesome, even younger than when Fifth Harmony came together during the US edition of the X-Factor. They are about as tween as you can get. And based on performances and TV appearances, the diverse and talented five some might just reach something (whatever that is) that two groups have reached in the last 25 years: Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child.
