Angels & Airwaves return with live shows, first in 7 years and new song in 3 years

From Musiqtone News

Seven years is an eternity in most music circles these days but for Angels & Airwaves, seven years is well worth the wait for a live show.  So is three years between new music.  The Tom DeLonge (blink-182) outfit announced on Tuesday (April 30) that they will be embarking on an anticipated tour and release said first single in three years titled “Rebel Girl.”

“Rebel Girl” also is marked as the lead track on their upcoming and highly anticipated album and a feature film project,  This will be the group’s first effort since 2016’s Chasing Shadows EP.

“Rebel Girl is a space-age love song that combines my enduring obsession for New Wave, pop punk and anthemic rock and roll music,” says lead vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge. “As some of you might’ve heard, I recently took a brief minute to start up an aerospace company,  so you never know –  I may play this song from a satellite deep in space, beamed toward everyone’s house viciously on repeat.”

The band will start their tour on September 4th at the Marquee Theater in Phoenix, AR and finish October 5th at San Diego’s House of Blues.  Presale tickets first go on sale to Citi cardmembers now thru May 2 via Citi’s Private Pass Program at 10 pm local time.  Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday May 3 at 12 pm local time through their website.
