An exclusive interview with Musiqtone
Mandi Perkins
Originally out of the area that produced Hanson, Tulsa natives turned Nashville rockers SafetySuit have become one of the breakout bands of 2008. After spending their time toiling in the gritty burgeoning rock scene in Nashville, the electrifying rockers signed with Universal and thus elevated themselves to a bigger stage, hungry for the sizzling alt/pop-rock sound.

Safetysuit in 2008 has been a breakout year for them, a big tour, releasing their major-label debut, "Life Left to Go" and getting three of their songs from the album on the MTV psuedo-reality hit "The Hills". Currently the band has two more dates to go after coming off a blockbuster tour with heavy rockers Puddle of Mudd and and up-and-coming metal acts Temperedcast and Red and Safetysuit took some time before a show in Libertyville, IL to sit down with Alan Ho for a v-seater where they talked about things such as their Nashville story, what is in store for the future, a prank involving the band, a soccer ball and Theory of a Deadman, and plenty of humor from the alt-rock quartet.
